These are excellent bags for allergy and asthma sufferers because over 99% of particles down to 0.3 microns are captured and not released back into the air. At first glance the Filtrete bags appear more expensive than regular vacuum bags; however, unlike other bags, these can be used until entirely full with minimum loss of suction power, so you many need only half as many bags on a yearly basis. If you are an allergy sufferer, please consider having someone else change the bag. If you must do it yourself, please consider wearing a mask.
