Like the standard HealthMate, the HealthMate Plus has over 60 sq. ft. of HEPA filter material to remove 99.97% of airborne allergens. However, the HealthMate Plus' 15 lbs. of granular carbon is not only impregnated with zeolite but also with potassium iodide. This means that the machine not only removes gases, vapors and fumes, but also more reactive volatile organic chemicals like ammonia and formaldehyde.
